CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: •Riders must be senior members (18 & over at 01/01/09) of British Dressage or Dressage Ireland •Riders over 18 must not have competed in an U25 BYRDS Home International or at the BYRDS Inter Regional Champs in 2009 •Riders who have competed Internationally in a CDI in the UK or abroad as a YR, J or P rider may only compete if a period of 12 months has passed since their last competition at this level. •Riders who have competed at Grand Prix/Intermediaire II in the current or preceding calendar year are not eligible. •Horse must be 5 years or over and 7 years or over for Advanced and PSG classes. •Riders & Horses who have competed at the BD Winter Champs including Freestyle to Music classes and/or BD National Champs in the current or preceding year are not eligible to compete at the same level or any level below at this competition. •Riders who have competed in the Pet Plan Area Festival Champs and Spillers Combined Training Champs are eligible to compete. See definition in Rule 141 d) iii). •Riders must be eligible to compete in accordance with BD rules in the correct rider group/level. Rider groups and eligibility will be as at the date of nominated entries – 16th September 2009. •Points will be awarded for the placings in the team classes. The top 3 scores per team will count on each day. •Points will be awarded for the team placings based on the smallest class numbers. If the smallest class consists of 12 riders then the allocation for points in all other classes will be from 1 to 12 and thereafter the balance of the class will all receive 13 points. The winning team will be the team with the least number of points. •No grading points will be awarded for this competition.
In a team one rider must be competing at Prelim or Novice level, one rider at Elementary or Medium level, one rider at Advanced Medium or PSG level. The fourth team member may ride at any level. A team may compete with three members as long as it is the fourth member who is absent. Points will be allocated as follows: 1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and so on. The team with the least number of points will be deemed winners.
Individual Championships The Individual Champion at each level is to be determined from the combined individual results in the team classes over the two days. The individual Championships at each level are open to those riding in a team and also those competing as individuals.
On site stabling to be booked with entries. £55 maximum of 4 nights. Additional nights £10/night. If stabling required earlier than Thursday please contact organiser to arrange. If you intend to arrive before 4.00 p.m. on the Thursday please let the Secretary know. Shavings £9 per bale. Haylage for 3 days £5, Haylage for 4 days £7.50. Electric Hook up in lorry park £30 for duration.
